The craft of engraving
There is no gesture without technique, no idea without matter.
Engraving is both an art and a craft. Plate, pressure, ink, and paper come together in a process that demands time, precision, and a direct engagement with the material. In engraving, the image is not drawn; it is carefully constructed.
This exhibition presents an eclectic selection of artists across generations, united by a shared passion for technique. In dialogue with the permanent ceramics collection, the works explore two distinct ways of inscribing time into matter.
