Permanent collection

The permanent collection brings together a selection of unique wood-fired ceramic pieces by Caterina Roma.

These works emerge from a slow and demanding process, in which earth, fire and time take an active role. Wood firings, carried out three or four times a year over several days and nights, leave on the surface of the ceramic unrepeatable traces of ash, flame and atmosphere, turning each piece into a unique record of the passage of fire.

The permanent collection also includes pieces repaired with gold, following the Japanese technique of kintsugi.

Caterina Roma’s works are regularly presented in art galleries and are part of private collections worldwide.
